Week 9
Sorry to have not written more during the week. I let the benched J.T. O'Sullivan, QB SF go and picked up Tyler Thigpen, QB KC. He scored the most points for my team this week; unfortunately, I had him on the bench. I also waived Josh Morgan, WR SF and Javon Walker, WR Oak and added Jason Hill, WR SF and Devin Hester, WR Chi. I played Hester and he scored 6, but I should have used Rashied Davis, WR Chi, who is a free agent and score double digit points. I ended up with a 99-94 win and a big part of that was 18 points from Owen Daniels, TE Hou. He is now the #1 TE in the league and I'm starting to think of him as a possible keeper for next ear. I played three RBs and got good production from Kevin Faulk, RB NE again, though Marion Barber, RB Dal had a rough game. I sure do hope Tony Romo is back after the bye. Adrian Peterson, RB Min had 19 points and was my highest scoring starter. JaMarcus Russell, QB Oak only scored 2 points on the bench. There were a number of QB injuries this week and if I can get one of the new starters, I'll be replacing Russell. My top choice is Sage Rosenfels, QB Hou, who I would have picked up if I hadn't gotten Thigpen. Michael Pittman, RB Den was put on IR, so I need to waive him. I'm not sure what RB I'd like to add, so I may just reclaim Kenny Watson, RB Cin. The Titans D put up 9 against the Packers and remain the #1 defense. I am thinking of adding someone else, though. They play the Bears this week and Rex Grossman will be the starting QB for the Bears as Kyle Orton was injured. I think that means good turnover opportunities, so I'll probably stick with the Titans.
