Week 8 Lineup Decisions

For some reason, the lineup decisions aren't getting easier like I'd hoped they would.

QB: Trent Edwards, Buf at Mia, J.T. O'Sullivan, SF vs Sea, JaMarcus Russell, Oak at Bal, Matt Hasselbeck, Sea, out. Edwards and O'Sullivan seem like good plays this week and I'm playing them. I've heard suggestions that Russell could have a good week also. Maybe if does, I'll try to move him.

RB: Marion Barber, Dal vs TB, Adrian Peterson, Min on bye, Michael Pittman, Den on bye, Kevin Faulk, NE vs StL, Chester Taylor, Min on bye, Fred Taylor, Jax vs Cle. Barber has a tough match up but I'm not taking him out. I'm having a hard time deciding between Faulk and Fred Taylor. I'm leaning Faulk now; I wish I had any idea how much either one would get the ball.

WR: Marvin Harrison, Ind at Ten, Matt Jones, Jax vs Cle, Lance Moore, NO vs SD (in London), Josh Morgan, SF vs Sea, Joey Galloway, TB at Dal, Deion Branch, Sea, out, Marques Colston, NO vs SD (in London). Harrison has a rough match up which is against my D, so I'm almost certainly keeping him out. Jones seems to have escaped being suspended for this week, so I might play him. I think the Jaguars will run a lot and not pass much, but that could be over-thinking it. Last year's game in London was a mud-fest and that would hurt passing attacks. I expect to play Colston again but not Moore until I see him do something with Colston back in his usual role. Morgan has a good match up but has been in the news with some injury concerns. Galloway seems to be a game time decision. I'm leaning Colston and Morgan right now, but Jones might get in for Morgan.

TE: Owen Daniels, Hou vs Cin. It's not a great match up, but he's actually the #2 TE after last week's big game and I'm not taking him out.

PK: Stephen Gostkowski, NE vs StL, Joe Nedney, SF vs Sea. I just picked up Nedney to keep my opponent from adding him and playing him. I'm going to let him go tomorrow, when he'll still be on waivers when the game begins. I could switch and do that with Gostkowski instead, but with the Niners on bye next week, I'd rather have Gostkowski.

TM: Tennessee Titans vs Ind. I'm not super thrilled about playing against the Colts on Monday Night Football, but they're a good D and the Packers put up good points against them last week.

When I cut Nedney, my current plan is to pick up Nate Washington, WR Pit. Santonio Holmes, WR Pit was picked up on marijuana possession, so Washington could become a starter. Of course, I could pick up Hester again, but he's on bye so I'm willing to wait.
