As I feared, someone had their score altered between the unofficial live stats and the official final stats. Fortunately, his Packers D lost 2 points and I ended up with the win. I moved up to 5-2 and kept my two game lead; two teams in the division are 3-4 and the other 2-5.
Devin Hester, WR Chi left the game with an injury. It's not clear how serious it is, but he's on bye next week and so I'll probably try to replace him. The Vikings and Broncos are on bye next week also, so my RBs for next week are currently Marion Barber, Dal vs TB, Kevin Faulk, NE vs StL, and Fred Taylor, Jax vs Cle. I really like the match ups for Faulk and Taylor, but I'm not excited about relying on either. Taylor had a concussion the week before and Faulk only got 4 carries even after Sammy Morris went down with a knee injury. Still, he did go for 50 yards on those four carries. I put in a claim for the rookie who got 13 carries for the Pats after Morris's injury. I would expect not to get him, but there is some chance.
Matt Jones, WR Jax vs Cle is facing a three game suspension related to his cocaine possession arrest over the summer. He's got good match ups for the next three weeks, so I hope he can postpone the suspension until Mike Walker, WR Jax vs Cle can return from his injury. Marques Colston, WR NO vs SD (in London) and Lance Moore, WR NO vs SD (in London) have a good match up. I wish I could trust either one to get some passes.
Mike Nolan, the coach of the 49ers, speculated about benching J.T. O'Sullivan, QB SF vs Sea. Then Nolan got fired. No word yet on whether Mike Singletary will keep O'Sullivan at QB. The match up is so good; I really, really hope he keeps the job for the one week. Also, I traded Tim Hightower, RB Az instead of O'Sullivan last week. I could have had Reggie Wayne for O'Sullivan and Michael Pittman, RB Den instead of Colston for Warrick Dunn, RB TB and Hightower. I would have gotten two points from Wayne instead of 0 from Colston and had a win even without the Packers D being re-scored.
